The world can be a confusing place. Sometimes, reality can shake us to the core and challenge our very impression of what's going on around us. For David Ross, his farewell season is going pretty well. The Cubs have the best record in the league, after all, and he's been roasted/toasted all season by his teammates, who hold him in high regard. However, all was not rosy during one moment in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Giants at Wrigley Field. After Jeff Samardzija attempted a bunt in the second inning, Ross lost track of the baseball and tried desperately to find it -- even though it was right in front of him the entire time:
