David Ortiz and his 'Girl Power' shirt joined Aly Raisman to kick off the Red Sox home opener

In honor of the Red Sox 2018 home opener against the Rays on Thursday, the team brought back two iconic athletes, world champions and Boston legends: David Ortiz and Olympic gold medalist/Needham, Mass., native Aly Raisman. The pair made their way out to the mound, ready to announce "Play ball!" and get the contest underway.
First, though, Ortiz had one piece of business to attend to:

Ortiz went on to proclaim that Boston was "her city, too," which we're pretty sure is even better than a key to the city.
