David Ortiz imitated John Sterling after the Yankees lost Game 7, much to A-Rod's chagrin
This past week has seen some pretty fierce competition on the diamond, leading to a World Series matchup between the Dodgers and Astros that will get underway with Game 1 on Tuesday (8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on FOX).
Inside the FS1 studio, though, another battle has been raging on as the postseason went along -- a battle of wits between former AL East rivals Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz. Just a few days ago, A-Rod attempted to put his Yankees jacket on an unaware Ortiz ... but it didn't work out, in hilarious fashion.
After the Yankees lost Game 7 of the American League Championship Series presented by Camping World on Saturday, Ortiz had his revenge. Ortiz did an inspired imitation of Yankees radio broadcaster John Sterling, who famously exclaims "Theeee Yankees win!" after each New York victory. Papi put a new twist on it, though: He busted out an emphatic "Theeee Yankees lose," which left Rodriguez shaking his head.
And the rivalry lives on ...
