Red Sox fans gave Dodgers manager and 2004 ALCS hero Dave Roberts a big ovation
As the Dodgers manager, Dave Roberts is plenty familiar with postseason baseball, sheparding his squad to October in each of his first three seasons as skipper. That comes after a playing career defined by some postseason heroics, most notably his crucial stolen base in Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS that sparked the Red Sox historic comeback against the Yankees.
Prior to Tuesday's World Series Game 1, Boston fans showed their appreciation for their former postseason hero by greeting the opposing manager with an ovation when he was introduced:

Even though Roberts is now working to make sure the Red Sox don't win the 2018 World Series, it's nice to see the fans still appreciate his role in helping the team break the Curse of the Bambino.
