Minor Leaguer Cutter Dykstra married actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Lance Bass officiated
Over the weekend, Nationals Minor Leaguer Cutter Dykstra (Lenny's son) married Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who played Meadow Soprano (Tony's daughter) on that HBO show about New Jersey mobsters. We wish the happy couple the best, and hope they had a lovely best day of their lives, but we want to draw your attention to two details from the ceremony, reported by People:
"Singer Lance Bass, who is close friends with Sigler, officiated the wedding and the couple's 2-year-old son, Beau, walked down the aisle in a miniature tuxedo while holding a baseball home plate that read 'Here comes my mommy.'"
1. That home plate sign sounds like the most adorable baseball detail a wedding could possibly have, save for hiring this kid as the band.
2. LANCE BASS officiated. A professional baseball player and an actress from the television show that ushered in the Golden Age of TV were married by a member of *NSYNC. It makes sense -- Sigler officiated Bass' wedding, so he owed her one.
Is this the first time a ballplayer has had a member of a '90s boy band officiate his wedding? Probably, but hopefully it isn't the last.
