The Cubs welcomed newborns to the world on the nine-month anniversary of Game 7

Something special happened nine months ago -- the Chicago Cubs won the World Series. You might remember that storybook Game 7. Today, July 26, marks the nine-month anniversary of that fateful evening 108 years in the making. As a result, it's a very busy time for local hospitals in the Chicago area welcoming new, tiny Cubs fans into the world. We've seen this sort of thing before, such as in Kansas City a few years back. 
The team honored this boon of championship babies at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago by awarding them special Fan Club memberships (containing a "Rookie of the Year" onesie, a beanie, a special birth certificate and a personalized Wrigley Field photo marquee). Really, the perfect package for any budding Cubs fan. 
Naturally, the team's mascot, Clark, was on hand as well for a great group photo:

In a particularly nice touch, the gift of a free Cubs onesie was offered to all newborns in the ward, too, not just those born on the nine-month anniversary. 
The whole afternoon was just special (and that's before the Cubs beat the White Sox, 8-3, to take over first place in the NL Central):

One of the sets of parents of an "official" Championship Baby born on July 26 are Erin and Dave of Barrington, who have both been Cubs fans their entire lives. They even have a dog named Maddon.
"It was a sin in our house to be anything but a Cubs fan," said Erin. 
They had no choice, really, but to name their newborn son Theo (of course), with Erin adding that the name, "always felt right." One of the best gifts they've received thus far for young Theo's birth is a vintage 1984 Cubs jacket Erin's godmother gave them.
Maybe one day, years from now, Theo will put it on and pose for the family photo album ...
