The Cubs flew to Florida in style by going full 'Miami Vice'
When searching for the world's best and most exciting fashions, don't look to the runways of Milan, Paris or New York. Instead, look just outside the Cubs' clubhouse doors when the team is leaving for a road trip. With Joe Maddon at the helm, you know the team is going to be looking, well ... interesting no matter the situation.
After the team's 7-2 loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday, it was time to get out of town with a series against the Marlins starting on Thursday. Naturally, that meant the theme was the pastel colors of "Miami Vice," with players required to wear shorts, a sport coat and, if they were going to wear flip flops, they needed to paint their toenails.
Jon Lester looks like he was born for the Don Johnson style:

While John Lackey and David Ross were ready to tackle the beach ASAP:

Jake Arrieta's 'ceps were too strong to be contained by a simple suit jacket:

Joe Maddon went pink, while Javier Baez went with the flashier leopard print:

The manager told MLB.com's Carrie Muskat about the inspiration for the event:
"It's the Anthony Rizzo 'Who wears short shorts? Anthony wears short shorts' road trip," Maddon said. "He's the motivation."
Of course, that meant that Rizzo's outfit was downright business-appropriate:

However, if we were going to crown a winner, Addison Russell may have our vote. That's a suit set with matching tie.

Now we can only hope that Don Johnson's "Heartbeat" serenades them for the whole flight.
