A CPBL hitter took a knee, crushed a go-ahead homer and flipped his bat toward the heavens
The Lamigo Monkeys and the Fubon Guardians faced off on Sunday at Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium in a Chinese Professional Baseball League showdown that was highlighted by perhaps one of the most authoritative bat flips to ever be flipped (so far).
The Monkeys emerged victorious in the game, 6-5, thanks to the pinch-hit heroics from Liu Shih-Hao, who came off the bench in the eighth inning with the Monkeys trailing, 4-3, and with runners on the corners.
Lamigo's hero for the evening connected on an inside pitch and sent a baseball deep into the night while falling to a knee -- and flipping his bat in a way that almost seems as if his bat flipped itself out of his hands, pleased by its hard work:
