Corey Kluber struck out Kevin Pillar on a slider that defied the laws of physics

Corey Kluber's slider is no stranger to strikeouts -- it produces a lot of them, often of the jaw-dropping variety:

During his start in ALCS Game 4 on Tuesday, though, he busted out a breaking ball that man's understanding of the universe simply cannot account for. Poor Kevin Pillar never had a chance:

As you might expect from a man whose pitches can escape time and space, Kluber pitched well with the Tribe on the brink of the World Series -- he gave up just two runs in five innings of work while striking out seven. Thanks to dingers and defense from Josh Donaldson, though, it wasn't enough: Toronto pulled away for a 5-1 win, and will hope to keep its momentum in Game 5 on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on TBS and Sportsnet.
