Cole Hamels' trade to the Cubs means that the place where he threw his no-hitter is now home

On Thursday night, the Cole Hamels trade rumors were put to rest when the Cubs made a deal to acquire the veteran lefty from the Rangers, according to MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi. Once official, the move will bring Hamels back to the National League, where he excelled for many years with the Phillies and won the 2008 World Series MVP.
The trade also means that the mound at Wrigley Field will be Hamels' new home, and it's a mound that holds an excellent memory for him. It was three years ago on Wednesday that Hamels threw a no-hitter in his final start with the Phillies.
The Cubs were in the early stages of their rise to glory, en route to winning 97 games and a NL Wild Card berth. However, Hamels was in top form in all aspects of the game: Pitching ...
