Christian Walker homered so deep at Chase Field that it interrupted a dinner at Friday's

The Dodgers threw down the gauntlet early during their Tuesday night game against the D-backs at Chase Field. Trailing by one run in the top of the third, Cody Bellinger stepped up to bat against starter Matt Koch and unloaded:

Bellinger's smash soared 435 feet and put the Dodgers up, 2-1. Pretty impressive dinger, right?
Well, the D-backs weren't deterred, even when the Dodgers tacked on a third run. Sitting on the bench, Christian Walker was ready to make a statement of his own, and when manager Torey Lovullo tapped him to pinch-hit for Koch in the bottom of the fifth, not even Clayton Kershaw could stand in his way.
Walker absolutely annihilated a slider that hung in the top of the strike zone:

You thought Bellinger's 435-foot blast was far? Well, Walker hit his a reported 479 feet.
Most amusingly, the ball interrupted a nice dinner -- it landed near a table in the second row of the Friday's in left field. Unlike a mistaken entrée, the souvenir was more than a welcome guest for the surprised fans, and they celebrated:

That's a dinner and a show if we've ever seen one.
MLB.com's Steve Gilbert talked to Walker postgame about the moment:
"Off a guy like Kershaw, just trying to keep it simple," Walker said. "Obviously if he's pitching the way he wants to, it's going to be tough to handle. I'm not saying I'm going to wait him out, but he's thrown a few pitches at that point and you're just waiting for a mistake and luckily I executed."
And on possibly getting the ball back?
"No, that's a souvenir, they can keep that one. It's probably got ketchup on it or something."
Thanks in part to Walker's tape-measure shot, the D-backs rallied past the Dodgers for a 4-3 victory.
