The team, which will play just outside Chicago in Rosemont, Ill., will open a brand-new stadium in May 2018.
Before they take the field, though, the Dogs have to celebrate their creation. They spent Friday morning driving around Chicago in a double-decker bus handing out free hot dogs as well as hosting various team-themed events at Chicago staple The Weiner's Circle.

Most importantly, the first Dollar Dog Day of The Chicago Dogs era will take place Friday at The Weiner's Circle from 4 to 7 p.m. There couldn't possibly be a better way to celebrate baseball in Chicago.
