Aerial photos show Wrigley Field mid-renovation
The four-year renovation and construction project to Wrigley called the 1060 Project is officially underway, which means the Cubs' iconic ballpark is in a bit of an aesthetic transition. And, as with any such makeover, the "during" shots can be fascinating.
As a long time Cubs fan, photographer Nick Ulivieri took the opportunity to capture Wrigley as it expands, heading up Sunday in a helicopter to snap a few prime aerial views. The most noticeable change: the disappearance of the outfield bleachers.
You can check out more of Nick's photos here.
But don't worry Cubs fans, Wrigley will be as beautiful as ever when all's said and done.
