Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis hung out with the Oriole Bird before throwing a ceremonial first pitch
Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis does many things. From appearing on a variety of Food Network programs -- either sharing recipes or critiquing contestants on the network's competition shows -- she's everywhere.
Her travels brought her to Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Tuesday night, as she prepares to open a neighboring restaurant in the area later this week. Before the O's game with the Phillies was rained out, De Laurentiis took the mound for a ceremonial first pitch.
She shared some thoughts with MLB.com's Britt Ghiroli before her big moment -- noting that she was a bit nervous because of how confident pitchers usually look out there on the bump:
When it came time for the actual pitch, it looks like it was a lot of fun:

Giada throws good first pitch. Os reliever Richard Bleier on hand to catch it.
