Talking 'Game of Thrones,' determination and more with Phillies' No. 1 prospect J.P. Crawford
The Phillies have a bright future, and one of the main reasons for that is shortstop prospect J.P. Crawford.
Ranked No. 1 on MLB Pipeline's breakdown of the Phils' top young talent (and No. 3 in all of MiLB), the Long Beach-born Crawford -- the No. 16 pick in the 2013 MLB Draft -- is currently with Triple-A Lehigh Valley as he continues his ascent through the Minors. On Monday, Crawford took a few minutes out of his day for a Facebook Live chat with Cespedes Family BBQ's Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman on MLB's Facebook page as the duo continued their already quite entertaining Minor League road trip across the country.
Their conversation, which you can watch above, covers Crawford's favorite players growing up (longtime Dodgers closer Eric Gagne and Crawford's cousin, outfielder Carl), video games, Game of Thrones (like a lot of MLBers these days, he's a fan), and more.
As for Crawford's on-field skills, look for more of this sort of thing once he makes his Phillies debut:
