Carlos Gomez googled 'rich-people conversations' to learn about kiwis and stuff

Gomez has been googling 'rich-people conversations'

Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez is about that new money, and he didn't just inherit a yacht full of trust funds to get it. He employed all of the typical tactics that successful people use to acquire cash and power: he stayed hungry and humble while dressing for the job he wants, not the job he's got.

As a result, Gomez got paid. He and the Brewers agreed to a three-year extension before the 2013 campaign. That deal kicked in for this year, meaning Milwaukee's center fielder recently got a raise from $4.3 million to $7 million.

The wonderful little morsel of information about Milwaukee's center fielder comes from an upcoming Sports Illustrated cover story on the guy. We can only hope that the rest of the feature is as mesmerizing as this one-off factoid, especially because we imagine Gomez walking around the clubhouse in a smoking jacket while talking about high-interest CDs and vacationing on the Cape.

For now, though, we'll have to settle for a top-secret, totally real peak at the rest of Carlos Gomez's Google history ...
