The Cardinals grounds crew member who got bit by last season's Rally Cat was hit by a wayward first pitch
Remember the Rally Cat adventure that struck Busch Stadium last August? The scared little kitten ran around the outfield for a while before a member of the Cardinals grounds crew attempted to end things peacefully, only to get scratched and bitten in the process (as seen on the right):
His name is Lucas Hackmann, and he found himself caught up in another wild extracurricular activity before the Cardinals' game with the Braves on Sunday.
After working behind the plate on a stencil design, he and his co-worker began heading off the field with the ceremonial first pitch about to be tossed. But:

The man is just a magnet for action out there on the field.
Kudos to him for all the hard work in the face of unusual adversity ...
