Cameron Maybin was thrilled to be the Taco Hero
Cameron Maybin's stolen base in the 11th inning of Game 2 of the World Series was quickly overshadowed by George Springer's go-ahead home run later in the at-bat.
But, after the game, Maybin was very excited about his stolen base because his steal won fans free tacos thanks to the "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco presented by Taco Bell" promotion.
I know what you're thinking, they must have used my hand double for this promo. Haha. Free TACOS for everyone, thanks @tacobell. https://t.co/NZxveDV1cM

He was so excited, in fact, that he gave himself an unwieldy nickname: Steal a Base, Steal a Taco Guy.
What's better than a win in extra innings? Free @tacobell! Proud to be America's #StealABaseStealATaco guy. You ALL get free tacos on 11/1! pic.twitter.com/sRdpp1Z7Js

Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed to crown him the Taco Hero:
Thanks Marisa! My kids were more pumped about free @tacobell than tonight's @astros win, haha! I'm now the coolest dad around. https://t.co/a3usoMUdS0

Armed with a more manageable moniker, Maybin was able to really impress his kids and all their friends by, essentially, shouting, "tacos on me!" to an entire nation.
Perhaps most important of all, Maybin managed to impress the taco makers themselves:
Cameron, you’re our taco hero. 🙌 https://t.co/dMWoXJ2YxG
