Yadier Molina met his life-sized bobblehead and formed an instant friendship

2017 is shaping up to be the year of Yadier Molina in St. Louis. The Cardinals have already signed the catcher to a three-year contract extension. Thursday afternoon, Molina got a ball stuck in his chest protector in one of the weirdest baseball moments we're likely to see all year. Prior to the physics-defying ball trick, the Cardinals unveiled a life-sized bobblehead of Molina that will remain in Busch Stadium for the remainder of the season.

Molina was on hand for the unveiling and seemed both surprised and happy to see his representation in giant bobblehead form.

Presumably, he knew what was underneath the cloth, but was simply astounded to see his large-headed likeness in person for the first time.
Will Yadi enjoy the season-long residency of his bobblehead at Busch Stadium? Yes. And the feeling seems to be mutual.
