Bryce Harper sent love to his hometown of Las Vegas with his newest pair of cleats

Before Bryce Harper was an NL MVP, he was a baseball prodigy in Las Vegas. The numbers he put up at Las Vegas High are still the stuff of legend (he hit .590 with 11 homers and 36 steals in 38 games ... as a freshman), not to mention his two outrageous years at the College of Southern Nevada.
Harper has moved on to the nation's capital now, but he's always kept Vegas close to his heart, reminiscing on his days playing Little League with Joey Gallo and even receiving the key to the city in 2015:

So, as Las Vegas continues to recover from the horrific shooting at Mandalay Bay on Sunday night, Bryce paid homage to the victims and his hometown with a new pair of cleats:

It's unclear whether Harper will wear them when the Nationals meet the Cubs in Game 1 of the National League Division Series presented by T-Mobile on Friday (which you can watch on TBS at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT), but it is clear that his thoughts will be with Las Vegas regardless.
