Bryce Harper explained the thinking behind his award-winning All-Star Game Red Carpet look
He arrived sharply dressed in a navy blue and red windowpane suit, complete with custom Bryce Harper American flag loafers and even a personalized pocket square.
But the piece de resistance was the lining on his jacket:
"It's one of my favorite things to do because they do such a good job," Harper said of the lining which was loaded with D.C. iconography. "The monuments, White House, American eagle -- bald eagle, not American eagle, but I call it American eagle," Harper said with a laugh.
Harper wasn't quite sure what he was going to wear on the red carpet. "Either I could do an Apollo Creed top hat," he said, "or I could go with something like this."
