Brooklyn Nets to introduce Dodgers-inspired alternate jerseys
The Brooklyn Nets will always be historically linked to the Dodgers.
They're the first major sports team to call the borough home since the Dodgers' departure in 1957, and their stadium stands directly across the street from the proposed site for Ebbets Field's replacement.
They even have the flagpole from the Dodgers' old ballpark standing right outside the arena.
That local history is not lost on the Nets, and according to ESPN's Darren Rovell, the team is planning on unveiling new alternate uniforms inspired by the Dodgers' jerseys of yore.
The jerseys are set to be worn five times this season, with the first coming during the March 21st game against the Boston Celtics.
