Umpire Carlos Torres called a third strike delivered by ... Brewers reliever Carlos Torres

We all have a name -- an identifying characteristic that (usually) sets us apart from others. Some of us, due to circumstances well beyond our control and the result of there being billions of different people spread out across the planet, share names with others.
There's probably a semi-decent chance you share your name with somebody else somewhere. Again, math.
In the Brewers' 6-3 win over the Cubs on Monday night, this came to a head with Milwaukee reliever Carlos Torres on the mound and umpire Carlos Torres behind the plate. The result, as Torres caught Addison Russell looking for the sixth-inning strikeout seen atop this post, was a circumstance in which a Carlos Torres threw a strike, as called by a Carlos Torres.
MLB.com's Adam McCalvy pointed out on Twitter that this was not the first time this connection has occurred -- it was actually the third:

Names are fun.
