Brewers bring back mascot and hero for mankind: Barrelman
Brewers bring back mascot and hero, Barrelman
From 1970 to 1977, the first eight years of the Brewers' Major League existence, the team was visually represented by the lovable and jolly Barrelman. With a thick, barrel-shaped belly, wide smile and powerful bat in his arms, he was the representation of beauty and baseball for the Midwestern city.
But then, like Batman at the end of The Dark Knight, he disappeared. For 38 years.
Well, get ready to celebrate, because he's back:

Don't worry, Bernie Brewer isn't going anywhere -- he just has a new BFF:

So, rejoice citizens of the world who love baseball, sunshine and ice-cold suds: Your hero is here. Though, given his less-than-aerodynamic shape, we're not sure how he'll do if he ever needs to race a pierogi.
