Bob Uecker joined in on the Brewers clinch celebration and things got wild

Bob Uecker joins in on Brewers clinch celebration

The Brewers finished off a sweep of the Cardinals on Wednesday night and, as a result, clinched their first postseason appearance since 2011. The whole gang was there in the clubhouse afterward -- Christian Yelich, manager Craig Counsell, Ryan Braun, Lorenzo Cain, everybody.

But there did seem to be one Milwaukee Brewer icon missing. One man who'd been with the team for nearly 50 seasons and who, if we're not mistaken, might enjoy this sort of libation celebration. Oh wait, there he goes:

MLB.com's Adam McCalvy spoke to Counsell about the moment.

"I'm happy for [the players] and I'm happy for the fans of the Brewers. From the season ticketholders to the people in the retirement home who get three hours a night watching Brewers games. For Bob Uecker, who gets a chance to call a playoff game again. That's the thrill for me."

Harry Doyle would be proud.
