Blue Jays prospect Rowdy Tellez once caught a foul ball lying on his back blowing a bubble

Rowdy Tellez is the Blue Jays' No. 12 prospect, and is a slugging first baseman who spent the 2017 season at Triple-A Buffalo. Tellez spent a few minutes in front of the MLB.com cameras recently at the Career Development Program, where he told a particularly amusing story that ended with him catching a popup while lying on his back in foul territory.
It went down during an Arizona Fall League game. The hitter, Tyler Austin, lofted a ball up into the air around home plate but bumped into the catcher, who was in pursuit -- so it was a dead-ball situation. But Tellez didn't know that, and as he kept charging for the ball from his perch at first base he lost his balance, slipped, and fell ... while blowing a bubble ... and made the catch anyway. That's a fun sequence.

Watch a replay of that moment in the full interview clip atop this post, and also enjoy some anecdotes from Tellez about childhood memories, such as going to Giants games with his father and watching Barry Bonds hit homers at Candlestick Park.
In terms of naming his celebrity lookalike, Tellez says a coach once called him Hoss Cartwright (of "Bonanza" fame), and, well, we won't argue with that:
