Billy Hamilton ran 106 feet to the wall on a sprint to pull in a miraculous basket catch
When hitters stand in the box against the Reds, they probably have the same goal in mind as they would against any other team: Get a hit, or wind up on base somehow. Any way possible, really.
But they find themselves at a distinct disadvantage against Cincinnati whenever Billy Hamilton is on the field, as he was during Tuesday's game with the Padres at Great American Ball Park.
Sorry,
According to Statcast, Hamilton had to run pretty far straight back to the center-field wall to even have a chance to reel in this fly ball -- which he did, of course.
