Ben Revere chases down fly ball at the warning track, knocks it over the wall instead
There are plenty of ways to hit a home run: You could hit one juuuust over the fence; you could hit one waaaay over the fence; you could hit one off an inanimate object; you could even rely on the dark and mystical forces of #WeirdBaseball.
One thing prospective home run hitters shouldn't do, though, is hit a fly ball within the range of Ben Revere -- or, uh, so we thought. He's pretty good at this whole outfield thing, but during Thursday's Nationals-Braves game, he decided to do a favor for his old buddy Freddie Freeman.
Maybe all this St. Patrick's Day luck runs deeper than we know.
