Austin Romine became just the second position player to pitch in the postseason

It was the top of the ninth inning and the Red Sox were up 14-1 over the Yankees on Monday night. But this is the postseason, so the Yankees couldn't possibly have a position player pitch during Game 3 of the ALDS, right? Wrong. 
Ladies and gentlemen, this is catcher and first baseman Austin Romine pitching during a game in October -- one pitch even topped out over 90 mph:

"They asked me, 'Can you throw?' I said, 'I'll sure as hell try,'" Romine told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
"I was just trying to get it over the plate. I haven't pitched since high school. Just trying to eat that inning up, save the guys that were left in the pen."
And when asked if Romine could grade himself, he said he would give him an "F."
The only other time a position player pitched in a playoff game was when Cliff Pennington pitched in Game 4 of the ALCS in 2015.
Brock Holt took Romine yard in the first pitch of his at-bat to become the first player in history to hit for the cycle in a postseason game as the Sox went on to defeat the Yankees, 16-1, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.
There was something for everyone in that game.
