Jose Altuve hit his first homer of 2018 and got the dugout silent treatment ... and he loved it

However, he hadn't connected on a home run prior to Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Angels at Minute Maid Park. Yes, that's right ... the man who's totaled 24 homers in each of the past two seasons had not yet picked one up through the first three-plus weeks of the new campaign.

"I was so lucky running the bases and so proud and when I got to the dugout, I was like, 'OK, I know what's going on,' but still I was celebrating," he told MLB.com's Brian McTaggart after the game. "I know they were happy, but they wanted to give me the silent treatment."
Kudos to Altuve for playing the role. But then again, he didn't exactly get to experience the rookie rite of passage in 2011, as his first homer was an inside-the-park job off
So this could have been a first for Altuve.
