Almost 12 years to the day, Aramis Ramirez is going back to Pittsburgh

Aramis Ramirez is going, going, back, back to PIT

Aramis Ramirez was signed by the Pirates in 1994 and made his debut for them at the age of 19 in '98. He spent parts of six seasons in Pittsburgh -- slashing at a .263/.312/.441 line with 76 homers. These were happy times. Evidence below:

And now, 12 years and one day after he was traded from the Pirates to the Cubs, Ramirez is heading back to Pittsburgh. The 37-year-old, who has 11 homers and 42 RBIs this year, was traded by the Brewers for Minor League pitcher Yhonathan Barrios on Thursday. Although Ramirez won't have the great Al Martin or John Vander Wal flanking him in the lineup as he did back in the day, Buccos fans are hoping he can help their team down the stretch.
