Anthony Rizzo's staredown inspired Pedro Strop to finish his save

Pedro Strop was an out away from locking down a slim 1-0 Cubs victory on the road against the Pirates. He had two strikes on David Freese ... and promptly hit him. With the tying run on base and the winning run at the plate in Elias Díaz, pitching coach Jim Hickey came out of the dugout for a mound visit. The infielders joined them, talked strategy and dispersed. Well, not all of them left -- Anthony Rizzo simply stared him down.
Intense. Rizzo departed wordlessly after the focused moment. Three pitches later, Strop got Diaz to bounce out to Rizzo at first, ending the game. We're not saying that Rizzo's staredown was what definitely motivated Strop to finish the save, but we're also not not saying that.
