An Indians fan caught a foul ball and made no effort to contain his joy
From a young age, we were taught that if a) we were happy and b) we knew that we were happy, then c) we should clap our hands. It was a suitably simple syllogism for our three-year-old brains to comprehend. As time went on, we learned there were other ways to express happiness, however.
During the fifth inning of the Indians' 8-6 loss to the Rangers on Tuesday, a fan caught a foul ball and did way more than clap his hands to outwardly express his happiness:
Though the broadcast did not capture the catch that inspired this spirited celebration, we can only assume it was the stuff of legends. Even if it wasn't the quality of the reaction certainly made up for it.
