Game 5 of the ALDS between the Rangers and Blue Jays already had all the drama you could ask for -- Cole Hamels and Marcus Stroman both pitching well in a 2-2 tie, with each team just a few innings away from advancing or elimination. Then the seventh inning came around, and things somehow took an even crazier turn.
The Rangers took the lead in the top half in just about the most bizarre way imaginable, with Rougned Odor coming home to score after Russell Martin's throw back to the pitcher deflected off of Shin-Soo Choo's bat. The chaos of #WeirdBaseball reigned.
Jose Bautista, however, scoffs in the face of Baseball Gods. And, after blasting a three-run dinger to give the Jays the lead for good, he restored order in the universe with a bat flip that may have altered the Earth's rotation:
