Adam Wainwright, bona fide #PitcherWhoRakes, went deep yet again

In Adam Wainwright, the Cardinals have a three-time All-Star who had won 130 games heading into Tuesday night's start against the Reds in Cincinnati. He's an ace, a veteran, a team leader, and a slugger.
Wainwright put himself in the #PitchersWhoRake conversation with an upper-deck blast at Busch Stadium in early May, and followed it up on Tuesday with a solo shot off Dan Straily.
What makes the timing of his latest roundtripper (the eighth of his career) even better is his big swing occurred just as the Cardinals' TV announcers were talking about slugging (as seen in the full clip atop this post). That's just perfect:

After the game, Wainwright seemed pleased about the homer when speaking with MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch:
"That felt good. I hadn't had a hit in a while, so I was due. Luckily, I made a good swing, probably because I didn't try to hit the ball out of the park, so I hit it out. I made a good swing on it. This park, you never know. Sometimes you barrel balls and they go and don't expect them to. But that one I hit pretty good."
The fraternity of #PitchersWhoRake is a vaunted one, featuring Madison Bumgarner, who has excelled both during batting practice and in actual games, and Jake Arrieta, to name a pair of this season's most headlining-grabbing participants.
Wainwright's exploits on Tuesday further proved that he deserves a spot at the table, too.
