Adam Jones is the newest off-ice official for the San Diego Gulls

It's been more than two months since the Cubs took home the Commissioner's Trophy, and we've still got more than two months until Opening Day (not that we're counting, or anything). If you think you can't wait for baseball, just think of Adam Jones -- he can't even remember the last time he got to pull some shenanigans.
Luckily, though, the O's center fielder has found a way to pass the time: work as an off-ice official for the San Diego Gulls, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.

He has some experience wearing black and orange:

Jones grew up in San Diego, and has season tickets to the Gulls -- he even called the opportunity  a "dream come true."
"This is a life long mission of mine," Jones said. "Might an an awesome retirement gig. Now that would be epic."
With a blue and orange tie to match both the Orioles' and Gulls' colors, he monitored the penalty box for the team's win on Friday night over the San Jose Barracuda. No reports yet that he celebrated with pie -- but he needs to get his fix somehow, you know?
