Some A's fans behind home plate dressed up in tribute to Stephen Vogt after his DFA news
Before the A's matinee with the Astros at the Coliseum on Thursday afternoon, the team designated catcher
A group of A's season ticket holders from San Jose, sitting in the Diamond Level seats behind home plate for Thursday's game, a 12-9 loss to the Astros, apparently saw fit to pay homage to Vogt with some inspired wardrobe selections and were caught on camera in the seventh inning:
Of course, the referee jersey and catcher's mask combination is a reference to Vogt's visit to "Intentional Talk" a few seasons ago, one that came with a spot-on impression of a standard NBA referee.
The trio of fans were keen to pose for the camera for MLB.com real-time correspondent Christine Kroeckel during Thursday's game:
Some reading this may recall that Thursday's situation was not the first time fans have donned that type of outfit in reference to Vogt. Not by a long shot:
Assuming Vogt doesn't clear waivers, he'll likely head to a new organization -- but it's pretty obvious A's fans won't forget about him anytime soon.
