A's fan catches a foul ball and lives up to his 'Best Dad' jersey
When a fan wears a "Best Dad" jersey, he has certain responsibilities. Not just to his own children, but to all children, everywhere. To paraphrase a wise man, that responsibility comes with the great power embodied in the jersey. A man just doesn't get to put it on and enjoy the spoils of his rank. When a foul ball comes his way, he must fulfill his duties.
That is a man living up to his jersey. When Brett Gardner fouled off a pitch in the ninth inning of Thursday's Yankees-A's game, he sprang up, reeled in the ball and promptly handed it to a young A's fan sitting a few seats down.
Kudos, sir. You bring honor to the title of "Best Dad."
