A's bullpen catcher rewarded two early-arriving young Rangers fans with a game of catch
Among the many great things about baseball being back once again is the rare chance for something truly special at the ballpark -- and that sort of treat can happen if you show up early enough to take in batting practice.
Prior to the A's-Rangers game on Sunday afternoon at Globe Life Park in Arlington, two young Rangers fans were perched along the left-field line hoping for something fun. And thanks to Jeremy Dowdy, one of the A's two bullpen catchers this season (and also a former White Sox Minor Leaguer, where he was a teammate of Oakland's

The concept of playing catch with a player or team personnel member such as Dowdy is something that can only happen in special circumstances -- but it's something that's already happened a couple of times this young season, and one of those was at a Rangers game, too!
