13 years ago, Randy Johnson hit a bird with his fastball
Back in 2001, Randy Johnson enjoyed one of his best seasons in the Majors. He led the league in ERA (2.49), strikeouts (372) and WHIP (1.009). He also won his fourth Cy Young and his first World Series as a member of the D-backs.
But before any of this happened, during a March 24th game against the Giants, a non-player fell victim to the Big Unit's fastball:
