ATLANTA (March 27, 2025) – As part of the previously announced, multi-year partnership between the Atlanta Braves and Gray Media, Gray and Raycom Sports will produce original content to air before and after the 15 regular season games that will be simulcast alongside Braves rightsholder FanDuel Sports Network. Premiering today, Opening Day, March 27, ‘Live from the Chop’ and ‘Back to the Chop’ will offer a unique, lifestyle-focused look at the team with fan-favorite talent and special guests.
‘Live from the Chop’ will be a 30-minute Braves Insider-style show, giving fans a look at who the Braves are both on and off the field. Hosts Paul Byrd, Lauren Jbara, and Charlie Culberson will highlight the spaces, foods, and entertainment that make Truist Park the best place to watch baseball, feature the Braves’ efforts to build community through baseball, and look back at top moments in franchise history.
‘Back to the Chop’ will have a fun, eclectic late-night show feel, driven by former Atlanta Braves pitcher and 12-year MLB veteran Peter Moylan, who will be co-hosting with Atlanta News First’s Baillie Burmaster. They will be joined by a rotating cast of Braves alumni and other special guests for lively, off-the-cuff conversations about all things sports and pop culture. Topics will include current themes in Major League Baseball, stories from their days in the Big Leagues, weekly ‘Stump Peter’ trivia segments, and more.
“Our partnership with Gray Media not only expands access and ways to watch games across Braves Country, but it also provides an opportunity to highlight what makes the Braves a championship organization on and off the field,” said Atlanta Braves President & CEO Derek Schiller. “This ancillary programming is going to showcase a different side of the team and allow fans to connect with the Braves in a whole new way.”
“Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta is one of the most exciting places in Atlanta on game nights, and we’re thrilled to bring the electricity and fun into people’s homes,” said Gray Digital Media Atlanta General Manager Erik Schrader.
Gray will carry the Braves in 24 markets across six states of the Braves’ home television territory – one of the largest in professional sports – and allow more fans to watch than ever before. The games will broadcast over-the-air on Peachtree TV Atlanta’s CW (WPCH 17.1) and Peachtree Sports Network (PSN) in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast through Gray’s network of broadcast stations, including Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network, the Tennessee Valley Sports & Entertainment Network, and portions of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network. A select number of games will air on some of Gray’s ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and CW affiliates.
