Throughout the season, the Atlanta Braves Foundation hosts dog adoptions at Truist Park as part of the Dog Days of Summer program in partnership with the Ozzie Albies Foundation and LifeLine Animal Project. Families that adopt through Dog Days of Summer receive an exclusive housewarming gift from the Ozzie Albies Foundation, complete with a new crate, dog bed, and leash after the game.
Dog Days of Summer
The Ozzie Albies Foundation promotes and facilitates the adoption of shelter pets, supports shelters and rescues in their efforts, encourages spay & neuter for all pets, and rescues animals in need. They primarily serve animals that are currently in shelters and in desperate need of being fostered or adopted to avoid being euthanized solely because they don’t have a home.
LifeLine cares for 40,000 animals a year in shelters, clinics, and communities. With innovative programs and solutions, LifeLine has transformed Atlanta into a lifesaving city for lost pets and shelter animals. Since 2013, they have managed the Fulton and DeKalb County Animal Services shelters, and in 2019, they opened LifeLine Community Animal Center, which has an adoption center and veterinary clinic that provides high-quality, low-cost vet care to help make pet care more affordable.
