We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of our fans across Braves Country through a variety of efforts and initiatives including raising awareness and funds for those fighting cancer, hosting blood drives at Truist Park, and offering virtual and in-person fitness opportunities.
Braves in the Community
Braves Care for Braves CountryThe Atlanta Braves have defined and committed to aligning our community engagement and social responsibility efforts with a programmatic focus in five key areas, addressing important social issues and causes including: promoting health & wellness, investing in education, supporting the growth and development of youth baseball & softball, honoring and encouraging community service, and caring for our environment.
We believe that sport plays an important role in the healthy development of young people. We’re working to help grow the game of baseball and softball through programs, events, and resources that provide unique opportunities for youth to be exposed to the game, to learn the game, and to grow and compete at all levels
Recognizing, honoring, and supporting service in our communities is a core value of our organization. We strive to honor our active military and veterans, recognize individuals working in our communities to have an impact on the lives of others, and provide opportunities for our employees, players, and fans to engage in service programs that enrich our communities.
Caring for our environment and building a sustainable future is an important part of our service to Braves Country. We do this through in-stadium efforts that have earned LEED Certification for Truist Park, and we also promote sustainability and environmental responsibility in our community through food distribution events, beautification projects, and educational programs.
The Atlanta Braves Foundation
The mission of the Atlanta Braves Foundation is to build community through baseball engaging Braves Country, reaching vulnerable populations, and improving equity and access in sport, health, education and well-being outcomes for children, families, and communities. Fans may join in club fundraising efforts in a variety of ways including participating in auctions for game-used and one-of-a-kind team memorabilia, purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets at Braves home games, getting their name in lights through our scoreboard message program, or leaving a legacy with the Truist Park brick program.
After the passing of Atlanta Braves legend Henry "Hank" Aaron, the Braves created the Henry Louis Aaron Fund in his honor. The fund not only preserves his legacy, but pledges to continue his passion for creating more opportunities for minorities to play baseball and occupy roles in the front office.
The Atlanta Braves are committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of our fans and neighbors throughout metro Atlanta and the southeast. View our 2023 Community Impact report today.
