Vice President, Business Strategy and Analytics
Jay joined the Astros in July of 2012 as an analyst and worked his way up to his current title of Vice President in August of 2020. In his role, Jay provides data analysis and strategic planning support across business units. His notable projects as a member of the Astros include the financial modeling of the Minute Maid Park $18M center field renovation project, needs-analysis fan segmentation, and ticket yield maximization strategy.
Prior to joining the Astros, Jay started his career in the Boston area, doing strategy consulting at Putnam Associates, Inc.
A native of Maine, Jay studied as an undergraduate at Tufts University, earning a BA in Economics, and then later earned his MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He was a part of the student leadership team for the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference.
Jay has served as a Big Brother with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization since 2007. He lives in Houston with his wife and three-year-old daughter.
