MLB has launched Protect the Barcode technology at Angel Stadium, updating the digital barcode from a static one to a rotating one that cannot be duplicated. Ensure that you’ve got the most recent version of the Ballpark App on your mobile device, so that you can benefit from having this new, secure technology! The new, rotating barcode ensures that you have a genuine ticket and that you won’t have any issues at the gate on Game Day. Look for the moving baseballs next to your barcode and know that you’re good to go.
Tickets forwarded through the Ballpark app are protected, as well. Just make sure that you don’t send your friends and family a ticket screenshot because screenshots of Ballpark app digital tickets will no longer be accepted as a valid method of entry into the stadium.

How do I access my new rotational barcode ticket?
The same way you always have! Ensure you are logged in with your MLB account on the MLB Ballpark app, using the same email address you used to purchase or receive the tickets. Once your ticket is loaded into the app, you will be all set!
How do I know if I have a rotating barcode for my ticket?
In the MLB Ballpark app, you will see baseballs moving up and down on each side of your ticket barcode.
How should I prepare to ensure my ticket is ready prior to arriving at the stadium?
Just like always, we encourage you to have the newest version of the Ballpark app downloaded, and that you have viewed your tickets in the app at least once prior to heading to the stadium.
Why are screenshots no longer accepted?
We are ensuring that your ticket is unique and not a duplicate. This technology has also been put in place to protect you from counterfeiting and fraud, and to give you confidence that your ticket is genuine.
What if I bought my ticket from a reseller or broker like StubHub? Will my ticket still be accepted?
If you bought your ticket from a ticket reseller–StubHub or Seat Geek, for example–and plan to use their app to show your ticket, then your ticket will be accepted. However, if your seller only provided you a screenshot, then you should reach out to ensure you receive a genuine, forwarded digital ticket or a traditional, physical ticket stub.
What happens if the only ticket I have is a screenshot that was sent to me?
You should reach out to whomever sold or sent you the screenshot to ask them to forward the digital ticket to you in the Ballpark app. If the seller did not provide their contact information, please contact the reseller’s customer service department.
Can I still load my ticket into Apple Wallet?
Yes! Loading your ticket into Apple Wallet will work for your entry into the stadium.
What if I need to show my ticket for other things inside the stadium, like access controlled areas of the stadium?
Yes! The ticket you use to enter the stadium can still be used inside for all the things you usually it for including suites, club access, and concessions.
Will my “loaded value” still work on my barcode?
Yes! Any loaded value you have stored on your ticket will still work through the stadium during your visit.
