Altuve exited Friday's win over the Twins in the eighth inning after being hit on the left hand by a 94.3 mph sinker from the Twins' Josh Winder. X-rays came back negative and Altuve was diagnosed with a left hand contusion. He was not in Saturday's starting lineup. More >

Verlander (neck stiffness) is playing catch from 60 feet every other day, according to manager Joe Espada. There is still no timetable for his return.

Bloss (right shoulder discomfort) will begin a rehab stint with Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday.

Caratini (left hip flexor strain) has resumed hitting in the cage, running and throwing and is set to rejoin the club this weekend to continue his rehab. More >

Ketel Marte, D-backs

Marte was removed for a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning of Friday's game due to back tightness. He is considered day to day.

Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto, Phillies

Schwarber (left groin strain) is scheduled to run the bases before Saturday's game against the Braves. He is likely to be activated as soon as he is eligible on Tuesday.

Harper (left hamstring strain) is running at about 75-80% intensity. Manager Rob Thomson said there's a "good chance" that Harper will return before the All-Star break.

Torres was removed from Friday's game against the Red Sox with right groin tightness after running out an infield single in the fourth inning. Torres, who has been playing through a groin issue for several weeks, was not in Saturday's lineup. More >

Kyle Hendricks, Yency Almonte Pete Crow-Armstrong, Mark Leiter Jr. and Javier Assad, Cubs

Hendricks logged two innings in Saturday's start against the Angels before bowing out due to what the team announced as tightness in his lower back.

After seeking a second opinion on his shoulder injury, Almonte has opted to undergo surgery on his right shoulder and is done for the season.

Crow-Armstrong, who has a laceration on his left thumb sustained while stealing a base on Wednesday, is still experiencing some swelling and is day to day. He was out of the starting lineup for the third straight game Saturday.

Leiter (right forearm strain) faced hitters in a live BP session on Saturday, and the plan is to activate the reliever during the team's road trip, which begins Tuesday.

Assad (right forearm extensor strain) threw off a bullpen mound on Friday. More >

Manager Ron Washington said on Friday that Trout (torn meniscus in left knee) has resumed running on a treadmill and hitting off a tee on the field. Trout is hopeful to return by late July.

Clayton Kershaw and Jason Heyward, Dodgers

Kershaw (left shoulder surgery) threw about 30 pitches in a bullpen session on Thursday, a positive step in the right direction for the left-hander. If everything checks out well afterward, the next step for Kershaw would be a simulated game likely at Dodger Stadium. After that, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he believes Kershaw would need about two or three rehab starts before he’s ready to return to the rotation.

Heyward left early from Thursday's game with what the team called left knee pain and was placed on the injured list on Friday with a left knee bone bruise. More >

Edward Cabrera, Marlins

Although manager Skip Schumaker didn't technically say on Saturday that Cabrera (right shoulder impingement) would be activated for Sunday's game against the White Sox, he did grin and say Cabrera would "start this weekend." More >

Matt McLain, TJ Friedl, Nick Lodolo and Luke Maile, Reds
