White Sox announce $1 hot dog Wednesdays
The Chicago White Sox have announced a special $1 Hot Dog promotion for the remaining five Wednesday home games at Guaranteed Rate Field in 2017. The popular large and juicy Vienna Beef premium hot dogs will be available for $1 beginning on Wednesday, August 2.
The $1 Vienna Beef premium hot dogs will be available at Guaranteed Rate Field's concession stands on the 100 and 500-level concourses and in-seat vending as well as club level concessions. There will be a limit of four per person per concession visit, while supplies last. The $1 Hot Dog Wednesdays promotion excludes Comiskey Dogs, a specialty Chicago-style hot dog.
"The White Sox ballpark experience is known for an array of delicious food, but there is something special about the baseball tradition of having a hot dog and cheering on the White Sox," said Brooks Boyer, White Sox senior vice president of sales and marketing. "We're thrilled to provide our family of fans with the best hot dogs at just $1, making the White Sox game day experience even more affordable and enjoyable for our fans."
According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (NHDSC), baseball fans consumed more than 19.4 million hot dogs during the 2016 Major League Baseball season. The NHDSC "Hot Dog Etiquette" guidelines also do not recommend ketchup on hot dogs after the age of 18 and state that only mustard, relish, onions, cheese and chili are acceptable.
