Twins announce 2024 schedule
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, today announced their preliminary schedule for the 2024 regular season, the club’s 64th campaign in Twins Territory.
For the second consecutive year, the Twins will begin their season on the road in Kansas City. After a 2-0 victory in Missouri to inaugurate the 2023 campaign, Minnesota again faces the Royals at Kauffman Stadium for Opening Day 2024 on Thursday, March 28 – matching the 2019 season for the Twins’ earliest opener ever. Minnesota hosts Cleveland at Target Field on Thursday, April 4 for the Home Opener; it will mark the Twins’ first home-opening contest against the Guardians since 2019 and just the third overall against Cleveland in the Minnesota era (also 2004 and 1963).
Minnesota concludes the 2024 season with a six-game homestand against the Miami Marlins and Baltimore Orioles from September 24-29, marking the first time the Twins end the regular season at Target Field since 2020.
Aside from the home-and-home Border Battle series against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Twins’ 2024 Interleague home and road slates swap opponents from this season. As part of MLB’s balanced schedule in which the Twins play all 29 teams at least once, Minnesota welcomes the following National League clubs to Target Field in 2024: the Los Angeles Dodgers (April 8-10), Colorado Rockies (June 10-12), Brewers (July 20-21), Philadelphia Phillies (July 22-24), St. Louis Cardinals (August 23-25), Atlanta Braves (August 26-28), Cincinnati Reds (September 13-15) and Marlins (September 24-26). Following an April 2-3 visit to Milwaukee, the Twins play at the Washington Nationals (May 20-22), Pittsburgh Pirates (June 7-9), Arizona Diamondbacks (June 25-27), San Francisco Giants (July 12-14), New York Mets (July 29-31), Chicago Cubs (August 5-7) and San Diego Padres (August 19-21).
The Twins’ 2024 schedule features 13 home games in the month of April, 17 in May, 10 in June, 11 in July, 17 in August and 13 in September.
