#LegendsReturn August 11-14 for Phillies Alumni Weekend

Phillies legends are returning for four days of fan events and surprises during Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend, August 11-14, 2016 at Citizens Bank Park, taking place during the series against the Colorado Rockies.
Each day features opportunities to see former Phillies All-Stars and Wall of Famers. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be on the lookout, as they never know who they will bump into at the ballpark. Tickets are available at www.phillies.com.

Thursday, August 11
PHILLIES ALUMNI LUNCHEON HONORING JIM THOME
Sold out, 11:30 a.m., Diamond Club, Citizens Bank Park - Former Phillies first baseman Jim Thome, who will be inducted into the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame on Friday, will get a special welcome back to Philadelphia. The event features surprise Phillies guests who will be in attendance in honor of Thome's return. Fans are encouraged to follow Phillies Facebook Live, featuring live coverage of the event.

2:30 p.m. Take part in a Phillies Facebook Live "ThomeTalk" with 2016 Wall of Fame inductee Jim Thome! Fans are invited to follow the Phillies on Facebook to take part.
Friday, August 12
TOYOTA PHILLIES WALL OF FAME NIGHT
6:50 p.m. Wall of Fame Induction Ceremonies for Jim Thome, On-field.
Before Friday's Phillies-Rockies game, Jim Thome will be bestowed with one of the team's highest honors as he becomes the 38th inductee into the Phillies Wall of Fame. Current and former Phillies players who were part of Thome's career will participate in the ceremony.
The entire weekend will also feature a #TBT Emoji T-Shirt ticket offer, available only at phillies.com/themenights, where a limited number of fans receive an exclusive #TBT Emoji T-shirt featuring former players Mike Schmidt, Gary Matthews, John Kruk, Brad Lidge and the Phanatic as emojis, designed to look like they did in their playing days.

TOYOTA PHILLIES ALUMNI NIGHT FESTIVITIES
6:30 p.m. On-field Alumni Tribute; Randy Wolf Retires as a Phillie; Larry Bowa Honored. More than 45 Alumni will be introduced on the field prior to Saturday's 7:05 p.m. game. It's a great photo opportunity for fans, as introductions include Phillies Wall of Famers, Hall of Famers and legends from the 1940s to the current decade. Ceremony highlights also include:

PLACIDO POLANCO RETIRES AS A PHILLIE; TOYOTA PHILLIES WALL OF FAME FATHEAD FOR ALL FANS
Fans attending the final day of Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend will receive a Phillies Wall of Fame Fathead collectible giveaway, featuring former players enshrined in the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame. Players on the giveaway include Hall of Famers Jim Bunning and Robin Roberts, newly-inducted Wall of Famer Jim Thome, and Phillies Wall of Famers John Kruk and Tony Taylor.
ABOUT 2016 PHILLIES WALL OF FAME INDUCTEE JIM THOME
In two separate stints with the Phillies (2003-05, 2012), Jim Thome hit 101 home runs, drove in 281 runs and slugged .541 over 391 games. His 47 home runs during the 2003 season led the National League and helped him to a fourth-place finish in MVP voting. The following year, Thome was selected to his fourth career All-Star Game and became the second Phillie since 1930 to record back-to-back 40-home run seasons. 
The left-handed slugger reached several career milestones while playing for the Phillies, most notably hitting his 400th career home run on June 14, 2004 at Citizens Bank Park. In 2012, Thome became the fourth player in MLB history to hit 100 home runs with three different teams, and also set an MLB record by hitting his 13th career walk-off home run.
Thome, who was selected to the Wall of Fame through fan voting on Phillies.com, played 22 major league seasons with the Phillies, Cleveland Indians (1991-2002, 2011), Chicago White Sox (2006-09), Los Angeles Dodgers (2009), Minnesota Twins (2010-11) and Baltimore Orioles (2012). His 612 career home runs rank seventh all time.
