Texas Rangers Youth Academy establishes first-ever Scout Team

The Texas Rangers Youth Academy officially announced the roster for its 2024 Scout Team, which will compete in the Five Tool Texas baseball tournament circuit throughout the summer.

A handful of the Academy’s top ballplayers have committed to the team for the summer and will comprise the 15-man roster. The newly-established Scout Team allows these elite-level athletes to participate in highly competitive tournaments against Texas’ top club and travel ball teams.

Players on the team will be pushed to achieve their full potential while competing alongside the very best 18U athletes, allowing them to showcase their skills for a myriad of colleges and scouts who follow the Five Tool Tournament scene across the country.

Thus far, five athletes on the Rangers Youth Academy roster have committed to play collegiately, while two are currently playing college baseball but meet the age eligibility required to participate. The remaining team members will capitalize on the increased exposure to college scouts, and all will look to impress professional scouts monitoring on-field performance.
